I had the pleasure of visiting a museum in Washington, DC. Not just ANY museum, but the National Museum of African American History and Culture . This museum was everything I thought it would be and more. I feel extremely blessed once again because tickets are sold out until March 2017! The weather was great and the exhibits were even better.

The museum starts off with the way African Americans came to the United States of American and how we’ve over came over the years. From Women’s Rights, to the Afro and soooo much more. Of course it was crowded, but I am proud of who I am and  I felt like I was living through history with people that cared about our future. I can go on and on and on, but I will let the pictures do the talking.

If you ever get a chance to go to this particular museum dress comfortably and as always fashionably. I decided to wear flats instead of sneakers and jeans. Bodysuits are back along with vintage leather jackets. To complete my outfit I wrapped kente cloth around multicolor braids.

Vintage leather jacket / Jeans ( J.Crew ) / Velvet flats ( Steve Madden ) / Bodysuit ( H&M )
